Conserve started as a small experiment in recycling plastic. Today it’s doing it’s bit in dealing with the mountains of plastic bag waste in Delhi and it’s surroundings by ‘upcycling’  the bags into some very funky accessories. The bags are washed, dried and then pressed into sheets that are then made into beautiful handbags and wallets. Started by Anita and Shalabh Ahuja to process waste in their neighborhood, today Conserve India bags has become a recognized brand around the world. Check them out at www.conserveindia.org. (They have a beautiful new website too!)
